Refund Policy for Curio Books

At Curio Books, we are committed to providing our customers with rare and second-hand books of the highest quality. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a refund policy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Refund Eligibility

  • Physical Books: We offer a 14-day refund period for all physical books purchased from our store. The refund period begins from the date of delivery.
  • Digital Products: We do not offer refunds on any digital products, as these are delivered electronically and cannot be returned.
  • Custom Printed Items: Refunds are not available for any custom printed items, as these are made to order and are non-returnable.

Refund Eligibility

  • The book(s) must be returned in their original condition, including any packaging and accessories.
  • The book(s) must be returned within the 14-day refund period.
  • Proof of purchase must be provided.
  • For old or rare books, refunds will only be granted if the book is returned in the same condition as it was sent, with allowances made for the original condition described in the listing.
  • Refunds may not be granted if there is evidence that the customer mishandled the book or if the return is deemed frivolous.

Refund Process

  1. Contact our customer service team within the 14-day refund period to initiate the refund process.
  2. Package the book(s) securely and return them to the address provided by our customer service team.
  3. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
  4. The customer is responsible for purchasing shipping insurance and using a trackable shipping method when returning old or rare books.
  5. Once we receive the returned book(s), we will inspect them to ensure they are in the same condition as when they were sent, with allowances made for the original condition described in the listing.
  6. If the refund conditions are met, we will process the refund within 5 business days of receiving the returned book(s).
  7. The refund will be credited to the original payment method used for the purchase.
  8. Please note that the original postage costs are non-refundable.

Exceptions

  • If the book(s) arrived damaged or defective, please contact our customer service team immediately. We will arrange for a replacement or refund, including the cost of return postage.
  • If you received an incorrect book, please contact our customer service team immediately. We will arrange for the correct book to be sent to you and cover the cost of return postage for the incorrect book.
